We have obtained an Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) from ift Rosenheim for most of our products. This confirms the excellent environmental performance of Bothe-Hild products.

An EPD is an internationally recognised document that sets out the environmental characteristics of a specific product in the form of neutral and objective data. This data aims to cover, as far as possible, all the environmental impacts the product may have. Ideally, this takes into account the product’s entire life cycle. In the construction industry, EPDs provide professionals such as architects and planners with a vital basis for planning and assessing buildings holistically. However, EPDs are not suitable for directly comparing products, as how environmentally friendly, resource-efficient or sustainable a construction product is depends largely on the (building) context in which it is used. 

The EPD covers the following products: - Roller doors and roller grilles made of aluminium and/or steel - Sectional doors made of extruded aluminium profiles (46AL) - Sectional doors made of PU-foam-filled panels (42ST) - Side doors made from extruded aluminium profiles (46AL) - Side doors made from PU-foam-filled panels (42ST). In these door systems, sections of different designs may be combined with one another.
